To realaction,

I would like to know if you are familiar with airsoft replica guns as well as 43 cal markers for the simple reason that I would like to make my XPOWER have the appearance of the HK416,

I have found a shop (ebaybanned) that sells airsoft replicas and accessories and they have all the necessary parts for me to add to my XPOWER to achieve the look I want,

I have a slight problem though this is where I need your help if possible,

the main characteristic of the HK416 is it's handguard or RIS forend, which I can get and it's a good solid metal piece of kit, the problem is that the RIS would fit the XPOWER but be 6,2mm higher than the M4 XPOWER's upper receiver rail because the real HK416 is this much higher than the COLT M4's or similar variants,

I have 3 options,

1. try and find a rail riser that will only raise the upper receiver rail 6,2mm (which I cannot seem to find at the moment)

2. buy a metal JING GONG or DBOYS airsoft HK416 body and use only the upper receiver,

3. make a different style of gun altogether (which I do not want to do, I want the 416 look more than any other)

as you can probably tell I would rather go with option two,

this is where you come in,

I need to know if you think a metal airsoft upper receiver would fit a RAM or XPOWER lower,

I think it would but may need slight modifications but I am no good at DIY so I will need some help,

when looking at the XPOWER upper's diagram and comparing it to airsoft uppers they don't look any different but I think it will all depend on the inside housing structure of the upper in question that I want,

any help you can gather or give me will be greatly appreciated, :D

thanks,

As I know there are many real M4 type guns in the market, they are not the same measurement as original M4 by Colt production, they have their unique specification or something different to the original, that's why the guns business running on, if you want the best shooting performance guns manufacturer will say buy the original parts because they are little bit different to each other.....

In this case, it is very easy to understand that the XPower might be based on the real measurement of the M4 from other manufacturer...... I don't really think that slightly measurement will affect that much on a paintball gun standard, if that is for real gun I have no doubt to say have to make it correct but it is not.

Whatever the XPower looks like, it just look alike guns but not a real guns, we are very difficult to compare with the real thing, but I agree with that we would like to put real parts on it to make it more looks real and feel it's real, but during the game it won't kill anyone, just for fun.

It is not necessary to modify it, I don't it is good idea to modify with other lower receiver from airsoft market or else.

Do hope that would clear your doubt.....

Thanks dirtyharry, I understand where you are coming from,

the metal alloy of my xpower upper is the same grade alloy as the metal airsoft I want so it wouldn't have been any different really, the difference though would have been what I was after and that was to have the top rail only 6,2 mm higher than it is now,

now as for adding real firearm part's, the xpower can have any real AR part or accessories added no problem it is just that some rail's are say $350 because it is for real guns but you can get solid airsoft parts the same for about $100 and the difference is not much, some airsoft RIS handgaurds like the Daniel Defence MK2 are crumble proof so they would last as long as you need it too as long as you don't want to drive tanks over it, ha,

seens that I cannot find anyone that is familiar with a JING GONG HK 416 airsoft gun and either RAM or the XPOWER 43 cal markers to help me I will have no choice but to go for a different look, damn it,

anyway thanks for your input dirtyharry,
